Litany
Keeping with the theme and the season, here are my scrutenies (just a little early).
Deliver me from stress.
Deliver me from anger.
Deliver me from resentment.
Deliver me from disappointment.
Deliver me from the control and manipulation of others.
Deliver me from holding on to the past.
Deliver me from naivete.
Deliver me from poor body image.
Deliver me from lack of motivation.
Deliver me from feeling overwhelmed.
Deliver me from being so sensitive.
Deliver me from caring too much about people who care too little.
Deliver me from indecision.
Deliver me from hurt feelings.
Deliver me from confusion.
Deliver me from stagnation.
Deliver me from that which does not bring me life.
Deliver me from self-righteousness.
Deliver me from being misunderstood.
Deliver me from constantly feeling I must prove my worth.
Deliver me from insecurity.
Deliver me from fear.
Amen.
Amen.

Your post inspired me to write my own litany:
Deliver me, out of my sadness.
Deliver me, from all of the madness.
Deliver me, courage to guide me.
Deliver me, strength from inside me.
All of my life I've been in hiding.
Wishing there was someone just like you.
Now that you're here, now that I've found you,
I know that you're the one to pull me through.
Deliver me, loving and caring.
Deliver me, giving and sharing.
Deliver me, the cross that I'm bearing.
OK..so I didn't actually write this..I stole it from Sarah Brightman - but it still is a good thing, yes?
amen x 2
